The Saskatchewan Institute is pleased to welcome Wayne Morsky for an evening exploring leadership, governance, infrastructure, and the challenges facing our public institutions.

Wayne is one of Saskatchewan's most experienced business and community leaders.

He is the former President and CEO of the Morsky Group of Companies, a third-generation, family-owned business with more than 60 years of experience specializing in commercial and heavy construction. 

Wayne has held leadership roles with organizations including the Roadbuilders and Heavy Construction Association of Saskatchewan, the Western Canada Roadbuilders Association, and the Canadian Construction Association.

He also served as Chair of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, helping guide one of Canada's most recognized community-owned organizations through significant periods of growth and transformation, and as Chair of Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL), giving him firsthand experience dealing with the City, taxpayers, businesses and community stakeholders.

At this event, Wayne will share lessons from his decades of experience about what it takes to lead effectively - especially when the decisions aren't easy or popular.

We'll explore:

• Why good leaders sometimes have to make difficult decisions rather than simply make popular ones.
• What government can learn from business.
• Why public infrastructure projects go over budget.
• What good governance actually looks like. 
• And how communities can create lasting change.
