Campaign Roundup - Day 27:

  • This is our last Daily Campaign Roundup email, as tomorrow is Election Day! We hope you found these emails helpful and enjoyed hearing all the news from the campaign trail! • Saskatchewan saw record early voter turnout, with over 223,000 people casting ballots ahead of election day, surpassing the previous record of 184,742 in 2020.

  • If you haven’t already voted in the advance polls, tomorrow is your final chance to cast a ballot. Polls will be open from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. You can find your polling station here. Eligibility requirements and a list of acceptable forms of ID are available here.

  • Two new pre-election polls suggest the Saskatchewan NDP holds a slight lead going into election day, with Mainstreet Research showing 42% support for the NDP versus 38% for the Saskatchewan Party among all voters. Liaison Strategies similarly found 49% backing for the NDP and 46% for the SaskParty, with the NDP showing strong urban leads in Saskatoon and Regina.

  • Scott Moe expressed confidence in the Saskatchewan Party’s chances despite recent challenges faced by incumbents in other provinces, like New Brunswick and British Columbia. Moe emphasized his party’s focus on tax relief, economic growth, and withholding federal carbon levy payments if re-elected.

  • Carla Beck also claimed she would win the election. She released a new video encouraging people to people vote for change.
