With the 2024 SK election underway, we'll be bringing you daily updates on all the policy proclamations, platform promises, and political point-scoring from the campaign trail.

As always, our work is entirely funded by donations from Saskatchewanians just like you, so if you appreciate the updates, please consider making a one-off donation or signing up as a supporter for just $10 a month - that's just 36 cents per email!

Campaign Roundup - Day 14:

  • The Saskatchewan United Party and Saskatchewan NDP Leader Carla Beck shared their Thanksgiving wishes with voters on social media.

  • Scott Moe, Leader of the Saskatchewan Party, also shared his Thanksgiving message on social media, expressing gratitude for a growing province, strong economy, and family and friends.

  • Moe said that his party believes the carbon tax should be taken off of everything, for everyone. He accused the Saskatchewan NDP of supporting the carbon tax, despite their statements to the contrary.

  • The RCMP union has launched a website encouraging residents to support candidates who back the RCMP. Saskatchewan Party Leader Scott Moe accused the union of prioritizing its own interests, arguing that their push for more officers is driven by the desire for increased union dues. Meanwhile, the Saskatchewan NDP opposes Moe’s plan to establish a Marshals Service, instead pledging to hire 200 RCMP officers and scrap the proposed service altogether.

  • Six printing presses across Saskatchewan are working to print nearly one million ballots in under 10 days for the upcoming election. With 243 candidates running across 61 constituencies, Elections Saskatchewan is racing to ensure all ballots are ready for the start of voting on October 22nd.

  • Voting Week runs from October 22nd to 28th. To expedite the process, you can register online, until October 19th. If you wish to vote by mail, rather than at a polling station, you can request to do so until October 19th. Elections Saskatchewan has published a guide for how to vote in the election. It’s available online, in multiple languages.
