Welcome to Day 12 of our Saskatchewan 2024 Campaign Roundup!

With the 2024 SK election underway, we'll be bringing you daily updates on all the policy proclamations, platform promises, and political point-scoring from the campaign trail.

As always, our work is entirely funded by donations from Saskatchewanians just like you, so if you appreciate the updates, please consider making a one-off donation or signing up as a supporter for just $10 a month - that's just 36 cents per email!

Campaign Roundup - Day 12:

  • A Research Co. poll shows the Saskatchewan Party leading the Saskatchewan NDP, with 51% of decided voters supporting the governing party and 43% backing the NDP. Premier Scott Moe holds a significant lead over Carla Beck on the "Best Premier" question, with Moe at 42% to Beck’s 29%.

  • The Saskatchewan Party released its full platform. Party Leader Scott Moe said making life affordable for people in the province is a key component of the platform.

  • The Saskatchewan NDP criticized the Saskatchewan Party’s platform, saying that it invests nothing to help emergency rooms, nothing to recruit new doctors and healthcare workers, and nothing to reduce class sizes.

  • Jon Hromek, Leader of the Saskatchewan United Party, was profiled on CTV as part of their election coverage.

  • The Saskatchewan NDP announced a candidate in the riding of Rosthern - Shellbrook. Mark Thunderchild will face off against Saskatchewan Party Leader, and current MLA for the riding, Scott Moe. Thunderchild said he’s not intimidated to be running against Moe.

  • The deadline for candidate nominations has passed. Tomorrow, a final list of candidates running in each riding will be released.
