Election 2024: Campaign Roundup - Day 26

Welcome to Day 26 of our Saskatchewan 2024 Campaign Roundup!

With the 2024 SK election underway, we'll be bringing you daily updates on all the policy proclamations, platform promises, and political point-scoring from the campaign trail.

As always, our work is entirely funded by donations from Saskatchewanians just like you, so if you appreciate the updates, please consider making a one-off donation or signing up as a supporter for just $10 a month - that's just 36 cents per email!

Campaign Roundup - Day 26:

  • Today is the last day for advance voting. You can cast your ballot until 7:00 pm. There is no voting tomorrow, but Election Day polls will be open on Monday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. Information on where and when to vote can be found on the Elections Saskatchewan website.

  • Scott Moe, Leader of the Saskatchewan Party, and Carla Beck, Leader of the Saskatchewan NDP, made campaign appeals in Regina. Moe emphasized his party’s record on economic growth and promised to strengthen the economy, while Beck criticized Moe’s leadership, pledging to improve health care and public safety if elected.

  • Scott Moe spoke to supporters in Saskatoon. He suggested that voters have a choice between the NDP’s record of closing schools and hospitals, and his Saskatchewan Party, which will build schools, hospitals, and highways.

  • The Saskatchewan NDP promised to build a new High School in Emerald Park / White City, and to invest in the education system.

  • Candidates shared unique superstitions and traditions they believe will bring them luck. Carla Beck has an orange scarf - a nod to her party's colours - that she wears for good fortune. Scott Moe has a cow-shaped stress ball for luck.

  • CBC’s Blue Sky has been running interviews with party leaders, where they took questions from a call-in audience. You can watch all of those interviews online here.
