Welcome to Day 22 of our Saskatchewan 2024 Campaign Roundup!
With the 2024 SK election underway, we'll be bringing you daily updates on all the policy proclamations, platform promises, and political point-scoring from the campaign trail.
As always, our work is entirely funded by donations from Saskatchewanians just like you, so if you appreciate the updates, please consider making a one-off donation or signing up as a supporter for just $10 a month - that's just 36 cents per email!
Campaign Roundup - Day 22:
- Voting Week has begun! Most polling stations are open until 7:00 pm tonight, and from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm tomorrow, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. To find your polling location and its hours of operation, visit the Elections Saskatchewan website here.
- Scott Moe, Leader of the Saskatchewan Party, cast his ballot in the advance polls, and encouraged supporters to make a plan to vote.
- Two bullet holes were found at the campaign office of Saskatchewan Party candidate Rahul Singh in Regina, prompting a police investigation. Scott Moe condemned the incident, as did Saskatchewan NDP Leader Carla Beck.
- The Saskatchewan Party criticized the Saskatchewan NDP for not mentioning post-secondary education in their platform. The SaskParty recommitted to increasing the Graduate Retention Program.
- Carla Beck, Leader of the Saskatchewan NDP, reiterated that, if elected Premier, she would not raise taxes. Instead, she said she would cut the gas tax on day one and eliminate the PST on groceries and children’s clothes by Christmas.
